Authors
Dr. Tausif Ahmad
Abstract
The present article
seeks to examine the impact of Russian revolution on Bhagat Singh. It analyses
the influence of Russian revolutionary literature on Bhagat Singh’s ideas and
methods of confrontation against the colonial regime. Further, the article
evaluates its impact on the Indian National Movement. It seeks to understand
the legacy of Bhagat Singh through the vernacular literature produced in India
after his martyrdom. It has been found that after the hanging of Bhagat Singh,
a large number of literatures dealing with his life and activities were
published at various places in the country. This literature exhorted the common
masses to follow the path of Bhagat Singh and sacrifice their lives for the
cause of motherland.
