Abstract
This study examines the impact of LGBTQ+
visibility on the moral values and behavior of Nigerian youths in Jema’a,
Kaduna State. Given the deeply entrenched cultural and religious beliefs in
Nigerian society, LGBTQ+ visibility remains a contentious issue, shaping
attitudes and social dynamics. Using a quantitative research approach, the
study analyzes how societal norms, family structures, peer relationships, and religious
influences contribute to the perception and acceptance of LGBTQ+ individuals.
Findings suggest that while LGBTQ+ visibility remains limited, increasing
global exposure and media representation continue to challenge traditional
moral frameworks. The study highlights the need for educational awareness,
policy reforms, and inclusive dialogue to foster greater understanding and
tolerance.
